What's the difference between DIY and Done-for-you?
DIY = you get the panel, install modpacks, tweak configs yourself. Done-for-you = pay a one-time fee and I personally set up your modpack, install whitelist/Twitch bots, optimize Java flags, and hand you a ready-to-stream server. Done-for-you is the easy mode if you'd rather skip the technical setup; DIY is cheaper and gives you full control.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yep. Up or down, anytime, no data loss — and we'll sort the billing so you're never double-charged.
Do you host modded servers?
Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, Quilt — all good. Curseforge & Modrinth one-click installer for popular packs, or upload your own ZIP.
What about plugin servers (Paper / Spigot / Purpur)?
Fully supported. Spin up a Paper, Purpur, or Spigot server in one click, then drop plugin .jars into the /plugins folder via the file panel — or paste a SpigotMC / Modrinth URL and we'll fetch them. EssentialsX, LuckPerms, WorldGuard, CoreProtect, DiscordSRV, Dynmap, mcMMO and the usual suspects all work out of the box. Plugin configs are editable straight from the dashboard.
What about DDoS protection?
Standard on all plans. Layer 4 + 7 filtering, plus we never expose your real IP in server lists.
Can I cancel anytime?
Always. Monthly billing, no contracts. You can download your full world backup before leaving.
Can I host one-off events instead of a monthly server?
Absolutely — that's what the Events page is for. The server boots with boosted RAM for the marathon and the world auto-archives when you're done. No subscription needed — contact us for event pricing. Bingo, build battles, subathons, manhunt — all preset.
Where are the servers located?
Hosted from London, UK — great ping across the UK and Europe. NA and other regions are on the roadmap — for now the service runs from my own setup so I can keep quality high. UK and EU streamers will get the best ping; NA viewers can still join but expect 80-120ms.
How do payments work?
For now billing is arranged directly — reach out and we'll get you set up. Self-serve card checkout (Stripe & PayPal) is coming as we roll out. No long contracts and no calls to a support line — cancel anytime.
How do my viewers actually join?
Every server gets a friendly address like yourname.kurohosting.com — no port numbers to remember. Your viewers just open Minecraft → Multiplayer → Add Server, paste that address, and hit join. That's it. You control who's allowed in from the Players tab (add them to the whitelist by username in two taps).
Can I bring my existing world or upload my own mods?
Yep. Every server has an Upload button — drop in your world folder (as a .zip), a plugin, a datapack, or any mod you downloaded yourself, and it lands in the right place automatically. Moving over from Aternos, Realms, or another host? You won't lose your world.
What happens if my server crashes while I'm live?
It restarts itself automatically, and we email you the moment it goes down (with the last lines of the log so you can see why) — no more finding out from chat. Between nightly backups and a restore we run for you on request, a bad crash means a couple of lost minutes, not a lost world.
How many players fit on each plan?
Rough guide for a smooth experience: Cozy (2 GB) ~8–10 players vanilla, Standard (4 GB) ~15–25 with plugins, Modded (8 GB) a busy modpack SMP, Community (12 GB) big packs and viewer events. Not sure? The plan finder sizes it from your player count and mods, or just message me.
Is there a free trial?
No auto-signup trial right now, but I'm happy to spin you up a server to test — hop in the Discord or drop me a message and we'll sort it out. You'll see the panel, install some mods, and get a feel for the ping before committing.
